2019 Furniture Show Birmingham Charnley's Home and Garden

Christmas 2019 and Furniture Show update

I’ve finally sat down in the office after a busy and very different couple of weeks. January saw us jetting off to Dusseldorf on our very own Christmas adventure… Although it’s not quite Lapland - I’m sure it’s the next best thing! From the moment we set foot in the showroom we couldn’t help but get swept up in all things Christmas. The entrance display alone was like entering a wintery wonderland, with sleighs, snow and a giant polar bear! Coats...

Our relief as planning permission is finally granted for Charnley’s extension

It was revealed yesterday at a public planning meeting that we have finally been granted planning permission for our extension, after more than two years of living under the threat of demolition. In 2016, we extended our garden centre to bring it up to date and make it an attractive destination to help draw new visitors to Dalton-in-Furness. The extension was completed in October 2016, but in the November, Barrow Borough Council threatened enforcement action to demolish the extension and...

It’s never too early to think about Christmas 2019!

After a very busy Christmas, Twixmas and New Year, the first couple of weeks in January see us rearranging the store back to normal and removing all traces of Santa and his reindeers; although you can guarantee we’ll still be finding glitter in unexpected places in July! The Twixmas Sale

Twixmas is often a funny time. That no-man’s-land time between Christmas and New Year when you’re full of cheese and confused about what day of the week it is. It can often lead to us thinking about the approach of the new year and make us feel like we want to get ourselves and our households in order, ready for a fresh start on the 1st of January. With this in mind, we are launching a huge clearance sale on the...

Have a read through some of our recent reviews

We purchased some of the oak furniture from Crooklands Garden Centre which was delivered today. The staff at the garden centre were very helpful both when we went in to look (being very patient and looking things up for us even though it was nearly closing time), and when they delivered the furniture, even unpacking it and taking away the boxes. I would definitely recommend it to others Had an absolutely amazing lunch today in the restaurant! Such a tasty chesnut mushroom,...

£1million transformation for Dalton garden centre

A FURNESS garden centre is set to reveal a huge £1million transformation next month.
